“They say that somewhere in Africa the elephants have a secret grave where they go to lie down, unburden their wrinkled gray bodies, and soar away, light spirits at the end could this place be Tanzania!” The wheel of life in East Africa start to turn in the grass fields, next to Lake Ndutu, at the Southern part of the Famous Serengeti National Park. This is where the Zebra’s foals and the wildebeest calves that where just born, do their first steps and join the great migration in Serengeti. Now that their legs can carry them for long distance, they start migrating with their mothers towards central part of the park, on their way to the west & northern parts. While moving though the plains, they will have to face the predators that are waiting for them in the grass, waiting for the weakest or the one who lost his mother. This sights and sounds are something that no movie can capture – a piece of heaven on earth in Tanzania!

Departure Location: Zanzibar Airport
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to Lake Duluti Lodge for your overnight stay. Located in Arusha, Lake Duluti Lodge offers the ideal location from which to start your safari adventure. Strategically located at Arumeru a base and the best view of Mt. Meru. Freshen up after your journey to Tanzania and unwind in the lush gardens before enjoying a delicious meal. Enjoying the remarkable view of Mount Meru by just walking in the tropical garden. You will be driven to Arusha airport this morning for your light aircraft flight to the Serengeti, one of Africa’s greatest national parks. You will be staying in the heart of the park, surrounded by seemingly never-ending savannah plains, at the wonderful Melia and your guide will meet you at the airstrip and game drive you back to Lodge. Settle in and soak up your new surroundings before enjoying a delicious, fresh lunch in a shady spot. There is time to relax for a couple of hours after lunch, before meeting at the reception and departing on an afternoon game-drive. The Serengeti is home to a wide variety and high densities of wildlife, making a safari here immensely rewarding. Look for lions lounging on the rocky kopjes, herds of buffalo roaming the plains and lilac breasted rollers perching on acacia branches.
Relax with 2full day in the endless plain of Serengeti with game drives – unequalled for its beauty and home to the Great Wildebeest Migration. The huge herds of plains game such as wildebeest, zebra and antelope dominate the park while the attendant predators such as lion and cheetah are to be found amongst the many kopjes scattered across the plain. Its landscape varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west.
Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your day is structured in the Serengeti. One option could be to start your day with an early morning Balloon excursion followed with picnic breakfast at the end, second option is to break camp early and head out with a picnic breakfast on a morning game drive, returning to camp in time for lunch. Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in camp and head out with a picnic lunch on an afternoon game drive, returning in the mid-afternoon. Despite sharing vehicles on a Safari Package basis, we will do everything it can to ensure that your ideal structure is met. Option three: could be start your walking Safari at the famous Serengeti National Park that will take 3-4 hours before it become too sunny. Along with your Ranger and a tour guide who will escort you to this endless plain. Enjoy the early morning walking safari before you go back to your vehicle to continue with a normal game drive In Serengeti which is the home of “big five” and other wild animals also famous for its great Migration each year. on the afternoon you will have your picnic Lunch and continue with afternoon game drive then on the late evening you will go back to your lodge for Dinner Overnight at Melia Serengeti or similar (with lunch, dinner & breakfast)
After breakfast, pack your bags, depart camp and will continue with the game drive to the relevant airstrip (Kusini, Grumeti or Kogatende). Here you will bid your guide farewell as you board your flight to Ruaha. On arrival at Ruaha Airstrip you will be met by a representative and give you an introduction to Ruaha on the game drive back to camp, where a warm welcome and cool drinks will await. Enjoy a leisurely lunch here overlooking the Ruaha River and a nap after lunch to rest during the heat of the day. This afternoon set off on a game drive to explore this very different national park with your expert guide and later in the evening transferred back to your lodge to freshen up and relax. Once refreshed you will then make your way to the dining area for dinner. Overnight at Raha River lodge or similar (FB)
Raha River Lodge combines raw beauty with excellence setting. Situated along the river is a great spot for photographic safari in Ruaha National Park Tanzania, this is unconstrained Africa where you will find one of the most spectacular concentrations of wildlife set in a beautifully diverse landscape that ranges from baobab forests, granite kopjes and open plains to cooling rivers and woodland valleys. Largely unexplored, Ruaha is as remote as you can get in East Africa. Few have heard of it and none will forget the destination.
Depending on your preference Each day you have a choice of activity – game drives, walking safaris and if you wish, a full day game drives with picnic lunches are also possible. A walking safari will offer a lovely contrast to the game drives, the chance to stretch your legs and gain a wider understanding of how the whole ecosystem of Ruaha fits together. Our experts’ guides know Ruaha like their fingers, ensuring you the best possible safari experience in this un-spoilt gem of a national park. One tenth of the world’s lion population lives in this park, as well as good numbers of leopard, cheetah and some more unusual species such as sable antelope and lesser kudu. After breakfast, pack your bags, depart camp and will continue with the game drive to the relevant airstrip. Here you will bid your guide farewell as you board your flight to Selous. On arrival at Selous Airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to rufiji camp in matemwe to freshen up and relax. Once refreshed you will then make your way to the dining area for dinner. Overnight at Rufiji river camp or similar (with Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast)
Your last days on safari offer plenty of flexibility, with a range of safari activities to choose from each morning and afternoon. Walking safaris are entirely different here to those in Ruaha, exploring the miombo woodland environment with your guide. In the early mornings, the light is particularly beautiful in the Selous, making for some great photography opportunities as you look for tracks of wildlife that have come near camp overnight. The boat ride safaris are a superb morning or afternoon, watching wildlife come to the water’s edge to drink and getting close to bird colonies, hippos and crocodiles. You can also enjoy a spot of catch and release fishing, too. Game drives are the best way to travel further afield and see some larger game including the predators the Selous is home to the largest populations of wild dog in Africa, which are a real highlight if you are lucky enough to encounter a pack.
Departure: After breakfast, you will say your goodbyes to the team at your lodge, making your way to Selous Airstrip in time for your light aircraft flight to Dar es Salaam where your adventure ends. While the memories will last forever, we do hope you will return one day to retrace the steps of the adventure you just completed with us.
